There is so much that is broken down in American society, in one sense it is easy to understand why so many are in denial.\u00a0 People are overwhelmed.\u00a0 Yet the denial is dangerous.\u00a0 Denial that racism bedevils us.\u00a0 Denial that police brutality is systemic.\u00a0 Denial of climate change.\u00a0 Denial of that economic inequality is destroying the fabric of our society.<\/p>\n
