The Huffington Post published an essay of mine today. (Read it here.) The gist of it is that some of the profound principles once called “conservative” are best protected by progressives today. The most obvious is conserving the earth for generations to come. The fact that today’s so-called conservatives are willing to ravage the earth for the benefit of (some) current residents shows that they are not governed by principles, but merely by desire.
